Leaders of teams or individuals whose entries were chosen for the top three prizes were invited to receive their prizes on 26 June 2010 at the IEEE Honors Ceremony in Montreal, Canada.
Winners received awards ranging from the grand prize of U.S. $10,000 and the distinction of being named "IEEE Student Humanitarian Supreme," to runner-up prizes of $5,000, and $2,500. Outstanding Student Humanitarian awards with prizes of $1,000 have been given to two additional projects.
